ABOOUT FOOTBALL STARTS AT HOME
Learning ball mastery with parents at home

Football Starts at Home (FSAH) starts football development for children as early as 2 or 3 years old, believing that ball mastery is key in learning the beautiful game. By learning some basic ball manipulation skills without having to learn kicking, passing and shooting the ball yet, children will be able to focus on keeping the ball close to their feet, and protecting it from obstacles or opponents. The parents are encouraged to become the first coaches of children as these skills can be learned and taught during play time. The bonding experience with parents will boost the confidence of children to be creative and courageous in handling the ball.
It has been discovered by experts that controlling the ball with the foot which is farthest from the brain has benefits to the learning abilities of children.
FSAH is the Philippine Football Federation’s Flagship Program for grassroots development. By promoting FSAH across PFF’s 35 member Regional Football Associations nationwide, PFF aims to produce young talents who are highly skilled ball masters. With this foundation, these young talents will be ready for team activities and can be honed by coaches towards becoming competitive players who can eventually play for the national pool.
FSAH was founded by renowned football coach Tom Byer who has been coaching grassroots and youth around the world for more than 40 years.
